Last Century – Star Wars- 1977

6 Jul

Nobody can tell you that a world without Star Wars is better than a world with it!

And let’s face it, WE ALL rather live in the Star Wars world (we won’t dress up… NO!… ok maybe, a little)

In a galaxy far, far away, I am a king!

Even when we are fighting against the dark side we know the other world is much more interesting, and evil is known!

This epic/cult/classic/movie god! will never, ever, be too old or outdated and the visionary minds behind it will forever keep an untouchable status.

A rather simple story , good guy joining the rebels to fight against evil and save the princess… with a much grater implications, fight the force, self-control, family, duty… a delight to watch.

So many funny moments, such a relaxed atmosphere, the special effects? well… we have seen them “develop” trough he years… we don’t care how they are… it is basically pointless to either criticize or to say anything… we are driven by the story and the characters.

The sequels are another topic and they might find in the future space in my blog but in general… the first time is the one you will never forget.

A movie ahead of its time and ahead of the rest by miles… created a following unlike any other and if i may say the most passionate and loyal fan base.

Every child should watch this movie, every grownup should watch this movie at least once a year… why? well, who says is not the time to watch a movie, specially this one?

That reminds me…I’ve already watched this and Empire this year but I still need to watch Jedi.

    And maybe the original trilogy…Maybe.

Er, strike “original” and put “prequel”. Damn not being able to edit.
